Turriff United's new management team of Mark Simpson and James Duthie took charge of their first game against Huntly in a game United and their supporters were desperate to take something from. The clubs new signings Paul Young and Michael Taylor took their places in the starting line up and both players played a starring role as United ran out winners by four goals to three. For the second consecutive week, United finished the game with ten men, as defender Sturat Taylor was shown a straight red card for denying a Huntly player a goal scoring oppurtunity. Goals from captain Dave MacKenzie, an own goal, a Donald Fraser strike and a goal from new boy Michael Taylor was enough for United to claim all three points. A encouraging display from the boys sets them up nicely for next weeks tough away tie at Forres.
